Kathy Bloemker, PT, MSPT

Kathy Bloemker, PT, MSPT brings over 20 years of experience and passion for treating pelvic floor and women’s health patients. Pelvic floor complications, during the delivery of her first child, sparked a strong calling to provide women with pelvic floor recovery and treatments. She has dedicated her career to empowering women to get the treatment they deserve.

Kathy graduated with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1994. She began specializing in women’s health physical therapy in 1997. She has worked in a variety of settings, from inpatient to outpatient, and along side physicians/providers in Obstetric and Gynecology medical offices. Kathy worked as a Women’s Health physical therapy coordinator in Council Bluffs, Iowa and Omaha, Nebraska. She brought access to pelvic floor treatments to communities that had limited to no women’s health physical therapy in Kansas, Missouri, and Minnesota. She proudly returned to her home state of Nebraska and is thrilled to be working at Nebraska Core and Pelvic Therapy.

Kathy is skilled in internal pelvic floor muscle examinations and treatments and specializes in pelvic floor dysfunction, including pain with intercourse, urinary incontinence, pregnancy and postpartum care, abdominal health, pelvic pain and breast cancer recovery. Kathy utilizes Myofascial Decompression techniques (a type ofcupping) during her treatments.

Kathy has completed a multitude of courses over the years, beginning with training from the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. She has spoken to professional groups, including physicians, providers and medical residents. She also spoke at a Kansas state physical therapy conference.

Kathy and her husband, Bradley, who is an OB/GYN physician, have two children and two golden retrievers, Husker and Apollo. Their daughter Malia works at Emory University Brain Health Center in Atlanta, Georgia. Their son Zach attends graduate school at Cleveland University-Kansas City studying to become a chiropractor.
